My dear Friend
I wrote to you some time
ago concerning the taxes which might be
assessed on the land I purchased in your
neighbourhood. As I have heard nothing
in regard to it since your letter a long time
since I feel anxious to know its situation.
I hope dear In you will pardon me
for this liberty of requesting you to make
enquiry whether any taxes have been assessed
and are due against the land with the
amount, and whether you will have the
goodness to pay them for me if I remit to
you the Amt or pay to your order in Philadl
with all necessary charges - and if you could
not do it recommend to me some person who
would do it witht the allowance of a liberal
commision. I know my dear friend I
have no claim on you to do me such a favor
but your goodness which I hope will not allow
the land to be sold for the taxes-
