  Dear Cousin
  Thomas Rotch
       Having stoped at this place on my way for
  New York, and find Cap Leiberman here imbrace the
                                          & by that that
  Oppt to inform, I had found by thy Letter^ no such man
  as Doct Raily could be found in Middletown in your State
  and am since Informed the Levi's in Hartford I am
  Apprehensive he is a young man who may not be
  known much by the Carretor of Docrs as I conclude
  he went into South America for Improvement
  in that Line thy attention to the business will
  much oblige they affectionate Cousin in Hartford.

  New York left home yesterday Morning.
  Fm generally well, Cousin Eliz Barker Widow of
  Josiah much unwell nor likely to continue
