		Dear Charity
				I have played truant this morning
	to finish an Epistle which was imposed on me to write to
	Rhode island  all that I can say of its Merits is that in reading
	it to Ann the oracle she found no fault with it   when I was
	first named I went strewing my tears through the street
 	crying out almost so as to have been heard  Oh! Charity if thee
					       this
	had only come  I should not have been in  trouble 
	I hope another year if thee should be spared nothing will
	discourage thee- thy presence is so necessary to our
	getting along lively with the business we seem when our
	of meeting to have no lead   the papers get scatted and we
			point
	need a rallying^ and Charity for its center Ann Trilown
	has been extremely kind to me  but I dread the consequence
	for she will pay me for it I feat at another time   I like those
	Friends I can always count upon I should like to have
				
        had more of Thomases company but we have both been
        too much engaged to indulge in social intercourse  he has pro-
        posed our going together next spring to New England  who
        knows but it may happen so how desirable it would be to me
