My dear Aunt's late letter to my grand
parents has incited anew the wish to communicate
to her some intelligence of our relatives here- It
has several times been my intention to do so, but
hearing others express a similar intention I have
deferred writing in the full expectation that thou
hadst received letters from some more interesting
pen than mine. It was very pleasant to us to
hear frequently from you on you late journey home
though the fatigue thou underwent occasioned as
much regret that you had set off before the roads
were sufficiently settled to render the traveling
agreeable the last account of thy improving health
was peculiarly satisfactory to us all; and I sincerely
hope the milder air beyond the mountains may
soon entirely counterbalance the effect produced by
our insalubrious clime upon thy system.
I think I may say dear grandfather enjoys as good
a year past- the swelling in his leg is considerably
decreased; he walks out daily; and generally attends
meetings---grandmother is very well, and active as
usual- she was so animated by a visit from Uncle &
aunt Dean on their way to Yearly meeting that she
concluded to go with them- and notwithstanding
