Dear Son, YOurs of the 14th & 19th have come to hand. I wrote on the 16 enclosing $25, I took it to the office on the 17 & haveing the one I wrote I found yours of the 14. the mail went west on Tuesday which was the 18th & yours I received yesterday was dated 19th. I am in hopes it has got safe to hand. I also wrote you a long letter in the early part of this mo when I turned over I through mistakes turned over 2 sheets instead of one & wrote you a sheet & an half. The last letter I wrote was on this kind of paper & very securely done up that the moeny was not easily detected. The money sent was a $20 Massillon & a $5 of the new Bank of Steubenville. I have agreeably to your request sent to the care of E. Morton Esq. We had the families at our house on thanksgiving day Pomeroy, Clarissa was unwell & Brother Smith * Wife. I am undergoing much suffering with sore mouth & have kept house these three days. Write & let me know whether you have received the money on the Receipt of this. I regret that Miss Kelley's health is not good for she needs the full development of every faculty to combat Slavery in this Religious Republican Country. affect. Arvine Wales
