Dearest Lida
Are you out of patience with
me for not having written sooner? Your
kind dear letter of Saturday Evening was recd
Tuesday. You want to know what I have
written to Ire. What else could I write but
that we would be at Chicago during the
first weeks of the year? Is that right?
I was reading in the Spectator
the other day of an antediluvian courtship
conducted upon a plan that would suit
you exactly. The groom was Ninety and
the bride Eighty when the affair commenced.
