Description	Mrs Irene Wales provides her version of the settlement of Kendal, the laying down of the Kendal Preparative Meeting in 1856, the decision to buy land in order to establish the Charity School and Quaker burial ground in Massillon, and the re-interment of Charity Rotch's remains from the School to the present Quaker burial ground on Seneca Street in Massillon. 8.5" x 16" (21.8 by 39 cm)

Full Text	H-11-48 [page 1] The Trustees of the Charity School of Kendal are indeed glad to welcome the DAR to the Friends burying ground and to accept the Large tree as a symbol of their continued interest in our It must be of particular interest to you as historic spots. ^today you are honoring a "quite Christian Lady" who was one of America's early Philanthro- pists, and as Trustees of this property we have been interested in getting a "recep" on our acquiring the land. over 130 years as an Institution our records are voluminous, difficult to read and as the personnel of the Trusteeship changes and the customs of our country likewise are not the same it is interesting to note how time marches on. With the help of Mr Hise, Mrs Pratt & Mrs Wales we have compiled the following short history.
