Respected Friend
Yours of the 16th Feby has just now been rec'd. As W.Morrison's property lay chiefly in the City of Charleston, S.C. and it was necessary that some person should administer these after obtaining full satisfaction the probity and competancy of James S. Johnson in that City and of his friendship with W. Morrison I requested that he would take on him the Administration which he has done. and I have sent on to him all the Notes and papers that I had found relating to the property in Ohio.
Immediately on recieving your friendly advice I wrote to him giving him all the information I had rec'd of rthe situation of Aaron Chapman's property. And as he is a man of energy and occupied in such business I trust he will promptly do what is necessary and proper to be done. He holds the rec't you gave Morrison for the Notes left in your care- With a due sense of your kindness to the orphan children, I am with much esteem yours,
Thos Rotch Amzi Armstrong
