Dear Cousin, Thy brother S.R. on his leaving home I find, left direction in Case he was like to fall short of Hay, that application should be made at N Bedford for a supply, & as he omitted mentioning it to me, I know of no person more suitable to apply to than thyself - I would therefore wish on the family's behalf thou would endeavor to procure a Ton for a good quality & send if possible by Parkers Packet next trip, it is apprehended the presnet stock will not hold out to exceed a week or 10 days - I expect Pinkhams packet goes home the first favorable wind. The other may probably stay longer, I however intend this by the first, & leave thee to act thy freedom & judgement by whom to send the Hay. The several families of thy near relatives here appear to be in usual health, with love to thine & my Wife & daughter if with thee, I am thy affectionate Uncle, Wm Brown
