Esteemed Friend
Thos Rotch
Last eveing Lorenzo Beckwith, am man who is in the employ of A. Reed of EW called & shewed me yr letter respecting a seal, and to enquire if it would not be wanted. I informed him if it could be completed & delivered me this evening I would agree to take it & pay his Bill, under the expectation tht it might over take you at N York & shall forward herewith to the care of HIcks Lawrence & Co. I hope it will reach NYork before you leave there & that my doings herein may be approved. We have talked & thought much of you & dear Charity since you left us, the weather has been quite cold & unpleasant here, since Saturday last but we flatter our selves with the hope that you have been comfortably housed from time to time, & ere' now are surrounded by kind friends in NYork & that dear Cs health may have improved since leaving Hartford.
With Sincere esteem , in which my Nancy & family cordially Unite, am yrs Truly M Bull
