Full Text	A-89-14 page 1 Respected friend Newport 7 Decmr 1796 Thomas Rotch I recd thy Letter ordering the sale of thy candles to Brown & Wardwell wich came to hand two late for the purpose. have since sold Gibbs & Channing Ten Boxes @ 53 Cents payable 90 days- I have now Ten Boxes on hand. I continue supplying Dorcas Earl with cash for the [illegible] of thy Aunt Whitfield whenever she calls & shall do the same without contrary orders. In great haiste, I remain thy assured friend to serve, Wm. Burroughs NB my best respects to thy Mother Rodman tell her Jos Huntington still remains in the House,- pays no rent. WB
