Description	A-204-1 New Lisbon 12 mo 24 1813 Esteemed Friend As the Preasant war operates severely against mee in my way of Business I cannot get Journemen to work at Hatting & I find that there are so many of the Labouring Part of the Community that have Listed, that the Farmers are not willing o spare their Sons tot learn Trades. I find it difficult to do any thing at my Business. I have Concluded to start a Carding machean the next Season & as the Boston Cards are Considered the Best I have thought wheather thee would spare me one set for one machean & what would bee the Price of them in Cash if thee should not have any on hand Perhaps thee could procure me one set by the time they would be wanted.
