                 Butler Township 3rd Mo 17th 1815
  Respected friend
                  I am informed thou art not
  likely to attend the qr meeting on account of
  the indisposition of thy wife, and I shall
  not see thee, which I was in hopes of on
  accont of the Ram that I have of thine, I
  understand thee has sheep in the neighbourhood
  of New Garden; I would wish to deliver the
  ram there before they are taken away, as it
  would save me a great deal of trouble;
  would wish to know if it would be agreea-
  ble to thee so to do also his two fleeces or
  what to do with the ram and fleeces. The
  profits this season is small $10 for thee
  when I get it. The reason of the smallness
  of the proffit was owing to my discour-
  =agement in raising sheep on account of
  their dying very much in this part, and
  was not willing to take in sheep with
  any distemper, or any out of any flock
  that has been dying much this summer
  and another reason I would wish not to
