Dear Thomas                                    Nantucket 12 mo 9 1789
                             Being much driven in business I fear I shall not be able to write my Mother pr this conveyance. The Speed & Price intending Sailing this night & it being now late, Father has written the necessary respecting the Falkland. 
          Thine of the 7tht came to hand from Bedford with a letter fm Jno Hadwen & several from Europe  136 Of  the 142 French Gl deposited in J Hadwens hadns was sen by BR on acct of Eben Nye & W Sanford, the remianing six belong to Benj Glover. That if thou canst sell the French bill thou took with thee for 2400 Leivres, we had rather thou would not use any of it except the 6 belonging to Glover.   We have given Nye & Sanford an order to receive their 136 with paying the freight of wch please to inform Cousin Hadwen, as this Mo is in full for a number of indian proportions in Thad! Swains Voyage last year.  it was necessary for the rect to be particular from those indian markers & we have
