The packet not arriving till late last Evening & being upon the point of returning with the friends early this morning, I cannot perform any of the requisitions of thy letter. I am very glad to find thou canst procure Casks enough for the Lydia, at Bedford, the price here is too extravagant. Our horses not being at hand Bro. Hazards pots much with ours also be postponed till next trip. Cranes etc belonging to theCanton I believe I have will look them up & send them next trip.
I can have but an incompetent knowledge of the qut of beef etc necessary for the Lydia, further than companion may assist me.
