The winds proving unfavorable for the packet gives me opportunity to acknowledge the rect of thine of the 3d Pickham not getting in till this evening. I am obliged by the Casks & Potatoes, the remainder say 15 bushels potatoes will be in time pr return of this packet, let the Shakes come also, & desire Allen to stop along side of the Ship & deliver them at the bar as the less potatoes are handeld the better they keep. We have Casks sufficient, but if thou hast bought more, send them. Brother Hazard shall have crdit for the 240 barrels at 6/3 and when I come off will pay him the balance of his Acct believing we are now indebted. I should have been glad thou hadst mentioned the number of Casks, as well as contents as the former is more obvious than the latter, the first parcel, not having all the guages marked on them. If Bunker has not sailed, [illegible] attend to the parts of Anthonys letter sent us, wch thou mentioned having opened, of sending an Invoice of the Oil sent, we well as what is retained say 1200 gallons subject to T Coxes order in your hands, And that they thought it a favorable time to send forward 2000 gallons for sale wch they thought would fetch 6/3 @6/6 and supply the market for the ensuing season, I consider myself not turn over
