Dear Wife I take this
opportunity to drop
you a few lines
to let you know
that I am well at present
I am writing to you this morning
in a pine wilderness out on
picket Wm Hudnell Brown
greiner and one more is on this
post which is in a pine and cedar
grove we have just got Breakfast
over and Hudnell is Boilling
Beef for dinner we are all
well at presant we moved from
centerville last tuesday the Roar
of cannon came to our ears again
last evening it was at centerville
but I have not heard the result
of what was done I look for
fun before long as skrimishing is
