^SufHfftiflc ^thorities have recommended multiple outlet oxygen units as being highly important equipment to include in family or community shelters. Their primary value would be for the inhalation of oxygen during the firestorm that inevitably rages following the blast. Fire draws oxygen from the surface air and as a result supplementary oxygen is often necessary to sustain life during the few hours that the firestorm burns in the area.
It has been suggested that a 244 cu. ft. cylinder of oxygen and equipment be installed for each four people using the shelter. Hudson has designed a unit complete with a mobile cart, oxygen regulator with four outlets, four adult size oxygen masks, two child size masks, a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation tube and two sizes of pharyngeal airways. The unit is practical, simple to use and requires a minimum of space.
THE HUDSON LIFESAVER® RESUSCITATION TUBE FOR MOUTH- TOMOUTH RESCUE IS INCLUDED WITH EACH UNIT. ,.,,jjj^^
