Description	This six-page brochure published by the Wagner Park Nursery Company of Sidney, Ohio, encourages its customers to "help win the war" by planting vegetable gardens. Page 4 lists a variety of seed packages, in which patrons could purchase seeds ranging from a "boy's garden" to a "complete vegetable garden collection." The pamphlet measures 7.5" x 10" (19.05 x 25.4 cm). Many Americans planted gardens during World War I (1914-1918) to supplement the food they had available and support the war effort. At the end of the war, the gardens came to be called "victory gardens." During the Second World War (1941-1945), Americans again planted "victory gardens." The gardens were promoted widely by the government and industry, both to support the war effort and due to food shortages and rationing.
