Description	The Citizens' Relief Association of Zanesville, Ohio appointed Thomas Lewis to write this account of the disastrous flood of 1913. Proceeds from the sale of the book were used to award valor medals to the "brave men who risked their lives to save others" during the flood. The book includes the story of the Licking River flooding the city of Zanesville and the aftermath. It details fires that erupted in the town, as well as efforts to feed the displaced and clean up after the flood. It is 94 pages long and measures 6.25" x 9" (15.88 x 22.86 cm).

I'"or this map and for some of the most vital and interesting data contained in this volume acknowledgement is due to Dr. C. V. Martin, the well known mining engineer, who covered Zanesville's flooded districts shortly after the water fell and with infinite pains made observations and took measure¬ ments that prove very useful while the city is waiting for the minutely accurate and comprehensive data of the government engineers.
