Description	James Newell Hay of Trenton, New Jersey kept this journal of a trip to Ohio in 1815. He comments on the geographic features and flora and fauna of the area as well as the town and people he encountered. During his trip to look at newly-opened lands, Hay visited Columbus, Bowling Green, Zanesville, Coshocton, and "New Ark" (Newark). The journal is 20 pages in length and measures 7" x 8.5" (17.5 x 21.5 cm).
