Description	Michael McGovern, a native of Ireland who wrote this book of poetry, called himself the Puddler Poet because he worked as a puddler in a Youngstown steel mill. He was responsible for converting pig iron into wrought iron by removing impurities, a job that required considerable skill. His poems are of three types: rolling mill rhymes, labor growls and miscellaneous trifles, and amorous verses "to show that a rolling mill man has a heart as susceptible to the purest motives of love as those who have millions wherewith to purchase a title." The book, which measures approximately 6 by 9 inches (15.24 by 22.86 cm), is 161 pages long.
