Description	This scrapbook documents turbulent years in the history of Ashland College, which was chartered in 1878 by members of the Brethren Church. Not long after, the school was caught in the conflict between progressive and conservative groups within the church that ended with the 1882 purchase of the school by the progressive branch. Ashland professor A.L. Graber created this 21-page scrapbook and added his own commentary. It contains letters, news articles, receipts, and other documents, many of which are handwritten. The scrapbook measures 5.51 by 11.42 inches (14 by 29 cm).
