Description	This 8.5" x 11" (21.59 x 27.94 cm) brochure is for the model 616 highway widener, which was manufactured by Buckeye Traction Ditcher Company between 1948 and 1951. The brochure is four pages in length. One of largest tile-ditching and construction-trenching companies in the world for fifty years, the Buckeye Steam Ditcher Company (later Buckeye Traction Ditcher Company and Garwood Industries) was established in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1893 by James B. Hill. He moved it to Deshler and Carey, Ohio before selling the company in 1902 to Van Buren, Heck & Marvin Co. At that time the firm moved to Findlay, Ohio, changing its name to the Buckeye Traction Ditcher Company. The firm later switched ownership several times; Garwood and Sergeant Industries were among the owners. The company discontinued production in Findlay in 1973, although Ohio Locomotive Crane Company of Bucyrus continued to manufacture a version of the machine.
