Description	This pamphlet, titled "Striking Close-Up of Senator Simeon D. Fess" has a short biography that may have been used to inform voters about Fess. The pamphlet is eight pages and measures 5.5" x 8.5" (13.97 x 21.59 cm). Simeon D. Fess (1861-1936) was born on a farm near Harrod in Allen County, Ohio. Fess attended Ohio Northern University earning a bachelor's degree in 1889 and a law degree in 1894. He served as vice president of the university from 1900-1902. From 1906-1916, Fess was president of the struggling Antioch College, which was suffering a financial crisis. He helped to increase enrollment in the college from 70 to 279 students. During this time, Fess also developed his political career, being elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives from Ohio in 1913 and serving until 1923. He served in the United States Senate from 1923 until 1935.
