Description	Two images depict Shreve schools. In May 1858, the village built a small brick schoolhouse, costing $788. In the first image, taken circa 1859-1867, teacher David Kimpton Jones and his family stand in front of this early schoolhouse on Willow Avenue (now Jones Street). Jones, son of Benjamin Jones of Wooster, Ohio, was also instrumental in incorporating Shreve as a village. In May 1867, a two-story school building was erected. The second image depicts the second schoolhouse, which was demolished in1987. These photographs measure 4" by 6" (10.2 by 15.2 cm).
