Description	Benjamin Corp created this volume while in his seventies for the benefit of his young daughter Margaret. It is approximately 176 pages and measures 7.25" x 6" (18.42 x 15.24 cm). The first fifty-one pages contain an account of Corp's decision to leave England, his settlement in Boston, and journey to a new home in Marietta. Corp also writes of supervising the construction of Cutler Hall at Ohio University in Athens. The remainder of the book (approximately 125 pages) contain things that Corp wanted his daughter to know in the event that he did not live to teach them to her himself. Topics in this section include religion, temperance, and housekeeping practices. It provides insights into the education of women within the household during this period.
