Description	The Tyler Davidson Fountain Given by Mr. Henry Probasco to the City of Cincinnati is divided into three parts: a physical description of the fountain, its history, and the dedication ceremony held on October 6, 1871. Mounted in the book are twenty-four original photographs of the fountain, plus four original photographs of Henry Probasco's home, Oakwood. The 118-page book measures 8.25" x 11.25" (20.96 x 28.58 cm). Thirty-six pages are included here. The Tyler Davidson fountain in Cincinnati, Ohio was designed by August von Kreling (1819-1876) of Germany. Local hardware merchant Henry Probasco donated the 43-foot fountain to the city of Cincinnati in memory of his brother-in-law and business partner, Tyler Davidson. It is located in Fountain Plaza, which was built in the late 1960s with the Tyler Davidson Fountain as its focus. The "Genius of the Waters" sits atop the fountain, which once included drinking cups for passers-by. The fountain is on the National Register of Historic Places.
