Description	Two photographs document Winterich Greenhouses, located at 1119 Jefferson Avenue in Defiance, Ohio. The first photograph shows the greenhouses during the winter of 1914. The second photograph was taken in 1911. At one time the plants from the greenhouses were shipped to every part of the United States. Christ Winterich, the owner, was known especially for his cyclamen plants. The photograph measures 12" x 3.75" (30.48 x 9.53 cm). Edward Bronson (1873-1965) was a three-term mayor of Defiance, managed the local opera house, and was involved in numerous civic associations. In addition, he was an amateur photographer who recorded daily life in Defiance. The Edward Bronson Photograph Collection consists of 798 photographic prints created by Bronson between 1906 and 1949. The collection is housed at the Defiance Public Library. Copy prints are available at the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University.
