Description	Artist Ella Dolbear Lee created these two original illustrations, titled "Little Boy Blue" and "Peter Pumpkin Eater" for her 1920 work Ella Dolbear Lee's Mother Goose Book. The child in "Little Boy Blue" was modeled after Lee's own son. The illustrations measure 18" x 24" (45.72 x 60.96 cm). Lee (1866-1929) was born in Marysville. She is best known for her illustrations of Mother Goose rhymes in Ella Dolbear Lee's Mother Goose Book, but also contributed to Ladies Home Journal and Women's Home Companion. Her other books include The Blue Domers and illustrations of Grimm's Fairy Tales and Anderson's Fairy Tales. Lee also did advertising illustrations, including artwork for Coca-Cola ads.
