How long have you been in commission?
Answer
I have been in commission since the month of February 1793?

During the period of your service, how long have you been under the command
of Brigadier General wilkinson, and what time have you served near his
person?
Answer
I first served with General Wilkinson at Fort Jefferson, in the year 1793,
I served with him afterwards at Greenvile, and on General Wayne Campaign
794, At Loramies and Detroit 797, at Fort Missac in 798. I desended
the river with him to the Chickasaw Bluff, and in the same year, I was
under the Generals command at Natches and Fort Adams, part of the years
798. 799 and 1800. In the spring 1801, I was a short time under the com
=mand of General Wilkinson at Fort Niagara. In the winter of 1806, I was
under the command of General Wilkinson at St. Louis and Ball Fountain,
I was under the command of General Wilkinson at Natchitoches during the
preparations for the Campaign to the Sabine, In 1806 and untill his
departure for New Orleans, In November 1806. During part the years
above mentioned, I was near the person, and under the direction [direction crossed out] immediate
command of General Wilkinson, and I was attached to that wing of the
army he commanded on General Wayne's campaign?

Have you understood that the General ever neglected a point of duty, or by
word or deed, ever injured the service of his country?
Answer
I have never known that General Wilkinson ever nelected his duty, or by
word or deed, ever injured the service of his country?

Do you not believe that he has uniformly pursued the interest, and the honor
and safety of his country, with his best judgment and utmost zeal?
Answer
I do not know any thing to the contrary, but General Wilkinson has pursued
the honor and interest of his country with his best judgment and zeal, and
as far as my knowledge of his conduct goes, I believe, that he has uniformly
acted honestly and upright?
