Description	History of the Manufactories of Springfield, Ohio provides short sketches of factories in Clark County. Of particular note is Whitely, Fassler & Kelly, original manufacturers of the Champion Combined Reaper and Mower. In the second half of the nineteenth century, Springfield was known as a manufacturing city, especially for farm equipment and machinery. In addition, the book contains sketches on schools and the press in Springfield. Published by W.F. Austin, the volume was used as promotional literature to lure new businesses to the area. It is 44 pages and measures 12.75" x 10.5" ( 32.39 cm x 26.67 cm).
