Wolman, chairman of the Columbua Bonda for Israel organi¬ zation, has iust received word from the Israel Embassy that Ambassa¬ dor Abba Eban can't meet with members ot the Jewish community at luncheon next Monday, as was originally planned, due to the press of urgent buaineas In Waahington. Mr. Wolman was informed that the Ambaasador'a schedule In Co¬ lumbus, due to hla arrival late Monday afternoon, would only per¬ mit tbe carrying out of his speak¬ ing enga^ment before the Ohio Senate at 4:30. The publio Is cordially invlt«d to hear Ambassador Eban In the Senate chamber at that time. Ambaasador Eban aent word to Mr. Wolman that he regrets his In¬ ability to meet with membera of the Jewish community at thia time. Serving as the "eyes and the ears" of thousands of women In all parts of the U. S.. Mrs. Newman visited temporary work villages, settlements and homes in Israel, and made a study, from the wom¬ en'a point of view, of the problems affecting women and children whose welfare depends on the out-- come of this year's drive for funds. The 1963 campaign of the Wom- ena' Dlvlalon will open next Wed¬ nesday with a luncheon meeting at the home of Mra, Robert Lazarus, 2076 Foir Ave. MR& NEWMAN aT that time. Mrs. Newman will address the Pacesetters of our community; women who, by their gifts, will establish and aet the pace for the rest of the women who will contribute to tho campaign during the forthcoming drive. The success of the entire 1953 Llfesaving Campaign will depf'nd, in a very large measure, on the response of the women who attend the Pacesetters meeting, and the advance gifts made that afternoon.
