The t Tiffin University TYSTENAC VOLUME 33 NOVEMBER, 1967 No. 3 Much Enthusiasm Shown At The Recent Hard Times Dance The center of the ballroom was accented with this very traditional denotation of the season. Festive colors of orange and black highlighted the main theme of Tiffin University's recent annual hard times dance which was held October 20 in the K of C Hall on Perry Street. Jack-o-lanterns, corn stalks, and a scare crow complimented the central decorum of the ball room floor. Students and faculty members danced to the music of the SPECTRES of Tiffin. Thomas Courtney, a student here is the leader of this modern group which played a good variety of music to accommodate virtually every dancer. At intermission, the door prize raffle was held along with the PHI THETA PI Donation raffle. President of the Phi's, John Leary at that time presented Richard C. Pfeiffer, President of Tiffin University with a check in the amount of $150, to go toward the building fund. This money was realized through the benevolence of the students and faculty members who supported the Phi's in this fund raising event. Certainly much praise should be shown to the Junior-Senior class who sponsored this dance, and to all the individual members who made it a huge success. An added note of thanks should be given to Mr. Scott Hoak, President of the class, who spent much time and insight on the organization and preparations. Even though the fall dance each year is normally rather small as far as the turnout, this year approximately 150-200 students, friends, and faculty members were in attendance. Certainly all in attendance enjoyed themselves to the utmost.
