THURSDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 21. "An Addreag (a the Legislature and the Citizens f Ohio, and an Ei.lBtl to all Ha IIOBI," Was printed this Lionlli Feli'uaiy, l5ii, the Ohio State Journal PrititiuK Ufflcu, la pamphlet which rontaias eo inanr iiiiexnccteil diwlosnrea as fufTiciui, to enable- those who Btndy it with understuojiop;, "to make Uiu con elusion lint we ure la pocjst.aiOQ of lluutvltdge for the coirjrueuceinent ol tlie New Em, or ol the L mvefsiil Republic of Harmony and Pence on Earth, and havo received the credentials lor It Introduction. There ie a inagnetio chain of events through tue couree ol reunifies an well as ol pvtnis which happen in this time on different places of the universe. As long art this chain id not generally known as fur as it can je known in this uge, Teace cannot bo established ou Eirth, I menu a real Peace which will last through tlionsands of years, aid during which not ouly revolutions aud wars, but also war instrument's aud Soldiers will lie bnuutitd trotn the Klobe. Soldiers and war instruments have devoured throuah the course of aea multitudes of men. aud have stripped the largest portion of sur vivors ot their property, while a nuiull portion of speculators became by the blood of the kilLd aud wounded immensely neb, and the rest of men became tuelr scrvauts. Jjesides wars and war systems, there are many other systems in which an immense amount ol human property is squandered not for the better out lor the worse ot men; but by keeping ar mles of soldiers, so much is squandered, that if that which is squandered in one year, would be applied for the benefit of men according to our principles, it would open the way for all men aud women, to become iu a tew years rich, and the rich happy by making the right uee of their riches. Hut this cannot tiiKe place till the chain which has been uireloeed by our Instrumental ity, is made known to Nations. Then the Dragon, Rev. xx: 2, will bo bound. In tho meantime, although we meet everywhere wilh peo ple lhat have no fuitb that the creut promisee of human redemption will be fulfilled, wo ittbor with security lor it good success, having testi-mcnies through tho course ol centuries as well as in tlio memorable events which happen this time in such a correspondence with our movements, that when the conespoudence.-i are explained in my publication?, any body may learft, that those who reject our message are in chain? of the Pragon and his HostH. Our meEsage has been ollered to monarchs and their I bi6hops and other influential men in Europe, as! well as to presidents and others in America. But they rejected our message, and by doingco they opened the way to many terrijilu plagues. XMot only battles, but also other calamities which are caused by the influence of the armies of the Dragon, whom multitudi.9 of men worship, are in such a correspondence with our doiugs for the human redemption, that from our reports on those matters the proceedioo-g in the spirit world are made mamlest. lieingconuued into the limits il a short arti cle, tn:it editors miirnr not ejrcufe themselves with being too long lor their papeis, 1 omit all other pressing lliings wbich I wieh to commuui cate, tu arouse this cation far action, and men tion only, that after my application in former times to the heads of the ledcral Government, made, A. D. 1854, peculiar exwtions to Move the Congress of the luited States to appoint an examination of my message which contains the meam to prevent revolutions and wars lu this country, and to spread peuce on the Globe. Bui President Piarce, Postmaster General Campbell, secretary marcy, senators Atchison, Cass, Douglas and others in the Senate, the Speaker and o;aers in the iiouse or Kepresentatires:, to wnom l nave applied to lurtrara nyr documents to tne Congrenj and to more too whuJo body lor action, have been attacked by demons of Hie Infernal Holiness, that they neglected to fulfill their bigheEt duly, and were quarreling about Kanzas and oilier pernicious matters, which to touoh here room does not allow. At length, when a new organization in the House of Reprefeutulivea were trying to muke their Speaker at tho commencement (ft December last, my Lender procured that on the 8th Deceniber,lE55, or ou the Feast of the Popish Imtnnculate Conception of Mary, an article ol mine wilh such uu editorial remark appeared in Cleveland, that it occasioned my "Epulis to all Nations." Iiut my manuscripts aro prinud when persons are ready to publish them. But I found nobody ready to publish what I offered in caicl article tor publication, and X was trav eling while ItepresentativeB of the United States were eastiug votes lor their speaker, nnd I saw sometimes numbers of their votes which were testifying, from which quarters of pitfalls and caves demons took possession of the Capitoliniu in Washington, to binder tho election of the Speaker. Eor joining the links of the magnetic chain for biudiug the dragon, we made use Dot only of languages of men, but also of languages or angels and demons by certain numbers, significative names and many other tokens, bv which in all my publications wonderful testi- oies have been given to our mission, and my painpuiuc, lor tue circulation ot whicn this arti cle is written, contains so many such leatimo nies, that while many volumes couid bu written on them, 1 wroto only some instances first on tea pages with a petition to the Legislature of Ohio to publish them directly aud by doinir so open me ooor lor a large circulation or the pamphlet. Hut the man to whom I have Riven thoite ten pages to forward them to the Legisla ture, nas returned tnem to me. Then I wrote six pages of disclosures on the last page of the pamphlet, because the last threa pages have been written on the 2d of this month, February, or on i n o east or Marys i unncation, that is of the purification of the church or of tho gov ernment, uu me mid ana jist pages is the appointment of our "Monthly lheological Course," which will commence in Columbus, Ohio, on tho 1st day of April, next, (1856.) aud lu wmcii tne mnguetic cuaiti io bind tue dragon will be exhibited. And the last page of the pamphlet contaius my appeal to the Legislature of Ohio to kindle a light in the Congrei-s of the United States. I alluded to the candles wbich are brought by Roman Catholic meu and women on the 2a February Into churches and ore burnt in my country, and I mentioned that light should be kindled by my pamphlet. I gave the manuscript for the last pages of the pamnhlet on the 2d February, to the priuter, at 3 o'clock P. M., and the bpt-aKer was elected on the same day, but I received the report of that election a week later, and tbeu I wroto six pages on the numbers of votes, showing by tho numbers of votes in correspondence wilh what I wroto on the same day, that votes were mediums under strict influence ot rpirits, and to what Bpherestr. of spirits each party of mediums belonged. I explain lads which are produced by Spirits lnlliience, and are testuying that which 19 to be made manifest to all Nations for tbe introduction of tho New Eru. And here waa mentioned as much as could be done in an article, to move Readers lor action, without waiting till Legisla tures commertce to proclaim the New Era. If my pamphlet ia understood, well qualified per sons will come from all quarters to attend our theological course. Edith makes no reply, and soon goes nto the bedroom to put little Allie in her crib, and laying her head on the pillow beside the child, waits for it to fall asleep. Presently a neighbor comes into the sit ting room, and she hears her husband talking with animation upon various interesting subjects. Thackeray's lectures, Dicekns' new story, Longfellow's poem, news from tho Crimea, &c, &c. She ies there Ion? after the child is dreaming. She feels so lonely, so friendless, so un cared-for ! She longs to have a good free talk with somebody. She thinks of her bachelor' friend, of his love for all that is good and beautiful, of his frank, manly smile, as he shook her hand that evening; she thinks, what it God pities her; she is asleep ! .... Edith, do take-H doifble dose to-night i you coughed so last night that I was awake half the time. Then, if you are no better I shall send for Dr. R.' That night, at twelve o'clock, Edith's husbanil was awakened by her violent coughing. He folded the pillow over his ears, as was hia custom, knowing that nothing he could do would be of any use. The paroxysm was unusually severe, and once he thought she spoke. It sounded like 'love Allie !' perhaps she was afraid of awakening Allie. St.ll it continued grew more violent ; it seemed as if she would never again draw her breath. He grew alarmed, threw aside the pillow, started up, and raised her in his arms. This is the hardest time you have had. Can I get you anyihing?' No answer, but that dreadful cough ; then a struggle, then a gasp. Why Edith Edith ! heavens what is it, Edith ? It is nothing now ! She Why good iVIuit it it V has slipped from his arms, she lies quiet on the bed she will never breathe again ! Two gentlemen stood by the road-sido, opposite the graveyard. This was about thirteen years ago, and it has been on my mind as an useful hint ever since.' The Garden. No land pays a higher rate of interest than the humble, despised garden.' The quantity of vegetables which it can be mado to produce, almost exceeds belief; and farmers may well open their eyes, when told that under good management two acres of a garden will be more profitable than 20 acres of a farm, as it is usually conducted. In the vicinity ot cities and large towns, the raising of vegetables for market is conducted on a large scale, and is very lucrative, and even the poor man can, by his own labors at odd times, secure an abundance of food for Jits family, which is as good as money saved, as well a3 earned.
