Firemen administered emergency first aid at the scene. After examination by a local physician, the patient was removed to St. Charles Hospital by private ambulance. Sharon Ann Schroeder and David A. Filipiak were married at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday In SS. Cyril & Methodius Church. The Rev". Gilbert Stopko officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroeder, Schrier Rd., Mr. and Mrs. Chester Filipiak, Oak St., are parents of the groom. Given in marriage by her father, the attractive bride was arrlred in a floor length creation of peau de soi with alencon lace bodice accented with seed pearls. The gown was designed with a scoop neckline and short sleeves. The Bell shaped skirt ended in a cathedral train. Her cathedral length veil was attached to a pillbox by a rosette. She carried a bouquet of carnations and stephanotis with cascading ivy. Barbara Bertok attended the bride as maid of honor. Charlene Marcinek, Jackie Pozniak andCherl Major were bridesmaids. The honor attendance were gowned alike in floor length creations of parakeet blue with matching Dior headpieces and short veils. They.carried cascades of buttercup tinted carnations with ivy. Dennis Gwozdz attended Mr. Filipiak as best man. James Szykovny, Michial Filipiak and Martin Filipiak were ushers. — Mrs. Schroeder, mother of the bride, chose a two piece affect acqua sheath with matching accessories. Mrs. Filipiak wore a one piece dress of avacado green lace with matching accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of pink and white carnations. A breakfast was served to the bridal party and the immediate families after the ceremony. The couple were honored with an evening reception in the Polka Room. After a motor trip to Florida the newly-weds will re-' side in Rossford, Arm Injured James Hill, 13, of 300 Dixie Highway, was playing pool with his uncle, Harvey Gibson, at Rossford Lanes shortly before 8:30 p.m. on last Wednesday. The table was one of the coin operated variety, and for some unknown reason, the boy put his arm into a pocket. He soon discovered that try as he might he could not remove his arm. Rossford firemen were called and the men pooled their efforts and dismantled the table. Jim was free with only a few bruises and abrasions to show for his experience. To Observe Anniversary The Rossford Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles will be 27 years old this week. The Eagles will observe the event with a family style chicken dinner at the club rooms on Sunday. Serving will begin at 1:00 p.m, and continue until 5:00 p.m. Becauses of the dinner the regular meeting has been cancelled. The weekly fish fry will be held on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until S:00 p.m. Corporate. Communion Sunday The Ladies Guild to Holy Cross Council K of C will receive Holy Communion in aT>ody durins the S:00 a.m. Massin SS. Cyril & Methodius Church on Sunday. A breakfast will be served in the parish school cafeteria after the Mass. The regular meetine of the Guild will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2S, in the Polka Room. C & T Editor j "m^^^— Robbed By Hitchhiker James Richards, Editor of Country andTown, was $17.00 poorer, but much the wiser yesterday, after a hitchhiker given a ride by Mr. Richards took him for one to the tune of $17.00. .the hitchhiker did not know that Mr. Richards had over S400.00 in cash on his hers on as he emptied the unhappy editor's wallet. Mr. Richards picked up the thief in good Samaritan fashion on the outskirts of Swanton, Ohio, yesterday morninv at about 10:30, and was cheerfully transporting him to Wauseon when the hitchhiker suddenly showed Mr. Richards the sharp end of a knife and took the news- mans wallet, containing S17.00; the thief then leftMr. Richards car and got into the waiting auto of an accomplice and sped off in the opposite direction. Mr. Richards was both angered and relieved, for the robber had not known that Mr. Richards had over 5400.00 on his person that the thief missed. There would appear to be a double moral to the story: For those who are driving, don't pick up a stranger. For thieve?, check your victims more carefully. The Rossford Banking Center will be located on the corner of Bergin Street and the Dixie Highway where the Theater and Grocery were removed. The construction of the building will be this winter with completion in the. early spring. The new building will be a colonial structure, with 1,472 square feet in the first phase. As the center grows an addition can be added to the west. The new building will provide all banking services, including safe deposit boxes, walk-up and drive-up windows, as well as a free parking lot. The staff of the center will be four persons including the Branch Center Manager. The center will use the same computer for processing items as the office in Bowling Green.
