Funeral services for Frank M. Applegate, 73, 211 Ottawa ;St., Oak Harbor who died Wednesday morning at his home, will be Taeld today (Friday) at 1:30 p. m. fi:om the Robinson funeral home and at 2 p. m. from St. Paul's Evan¬ gelical and Reformed church, tiie Rev. O. C. Doenges officiating.*
Burial will be in Union ceme¬ tery.
Mr. Applegate was born Marck 21, 1875 in Salem township, the son of John and j Matilda Fulton Applegate. He wa/s married to Ida Link in 1917. Mrs. Applegate died in 1944.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia and Fmnces.
Mr. Applegate was well-known in Oak Harbor, having operated his barber establishment for 50 years. &^3+> /

Mrs. Carl Gerdes and daughter Mary Lou, of Detroit, attended the funeral of Jier uncle, Frank s^jole^ gate, last week Friday. They aibsio visited at the tome or hier mother, Mrs. George Applegate. Mary Lou, a sophmore, will make her home with her grandmother, and attend Salem-Oak Harfbor High School.

Frank M. Applegate
Frank M. Applegate, a son of John and Matilda Applegate, wTas born in Oak Harbor(Ohio), on April 13, 18715. He received his education in the Schools1 of Oak Harbor. While quite a young man he and his brother George established! ia bar'ber business and became well known as tonsorial artists and this business he con¬ tinued for the rest of his life. He was a man of quiet disposition, very conservative, and did not en¬ ter actively into the affairs of civil government, but always gave 5iiisi support to matters that promoted the community at large.
He resided in Oak Harbor(Ohio) all his life. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Re¬ formed Church, was baptized and confirmed by the sainted Rev. Henry C. Klutey.
His wife preceded him in death four years ago He leaves to mourn his departure two daugh¬ ters, Virginia Applegate and Frances Applegate, other rela¬ tives and many friends.
His sojourn here on earth was 73 years 4 months and 18 days.
