Ambrotype portrait of John J. Cramer in his military uniform, 1862. Cramer was in Company A of the 20th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. One of the earliest Ohio regiments, the 20th O.V.I. was organized in Lima, Ohio, on April 20, 1861. This portrait, housed in a Union case, was included in "Over Here, Over There" an exhibit that opened at the Ohio History Center on July 1, 2011. |
