Certificate awarding Aaron R. Fisher the honorary rank of Colonel for his contributions to the Armed Forces, signed by Alfred L. Keyes, Professor of Military Science at Wilberforce University. Aaron R. Fisher was a highly decorated African American soldier during and after World War I; he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, the Croix de Guerre, Purple Heart, Mexican Service Medal, World War I Victory Medal and Army Commendation Medal for his services. After his discharge, he served as an ROTC instructor at Wilberforce University. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer in 1947. |
