AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

J. G. Ballou. 53, prominent
physician and the mayor of Oak
Harbor, died Tuesday after less
than a week's illness of pneumo- .
nia. Last rites were held Thurs^
day forenoon and the body was
taken to Stanford, Ky,, bis for*
mer home, for interment.
He is survived by his widow and
a son, Justin, a student at Draka
College.
Dr. Ballou was a member of
the American Legion Post at
Oak Harbor and of the Elmore
Masonic lodge together with oth¬
er branches of the Masonic Order
in Oak Harbor, Fremont and To¬
ledo.
