Oak Harborite Loses
Father In Accident

Ohio, father of Mrs. W. P. Short
ridge. Oak Harbor, was killed in-
"UtTantly In a highway crash on Rt.
30-N, two miles west of Williams-
town, Ohio last Friday night. Four
persons were injured in the crash
Mr. Barnes died 'of a fracturec
skull and broken neck, according
to the Hancock county coroner.
The coroner said Mr. Barnes
had not made a safety stop at
the intersection of two highways.
His body; was taken to the Dally
Ftmeral Home, Arlington.
Surviving are his wife, Ida;
daughters, Mrs. Hulda Qberlitner,
Kenton; Mrs. May_ Stout, Toledo;
Mrs. Shortridgc; Mrs. Kuth^Axn^
old, Maumee; sons, Walter, De-
Tiance, and Carl, Westhope, and
sister, Amanda Barnes, Toledo.
Services were Tuesday after¬
noon In Peace Lutheran Church,
