Mrs. Jared Baker
Death has again entered our home
taking with it our wife and mother,
Mrs. Huldah Baker, nee Boggs^. who
1 was born at Sugar Creek, near El¬
more, Mar. 7th, 1844, having lived
there the earlier part of her life. On j
June 25th, 1868, she was united inj
marriage to Jared Baker. To this
union five children were born, two I
sons and three daughters, one son and
one daughter dying in infancy, and I
one daughter having attained the I
age of 26 years old. One son, Geo. I
Baker and one daughter, Mrs. Got-1
tlieb Norwalk, both of Cfay Center, J
and the husband, Jared Baker, and '■
one brother, Brasilia Boggs._ of Chi¬
cago, formerly of Elmore, still sur¬
vive.
Mrs. Baker lived to the age of 79
years, nine months, 16 days. She had
been in failing health for a number
of years but for the last five weeks
had been bed ridden. Six weeks ago
she was brought to the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Gottlieb Norwalk
from whence she passed away Sunday
morning at 5:50. She suffered great¬
ly but stiH expressed her faith in the
Father above who knoweth and doeth
ah things for the best.
| The funeral was held at the home
of the daughter Wednesdav at 2:00,
burial at Clay Cemetery near Genoa.
Those who attended the funeral
from out of town were: Mrs. Jake
Dibert, Mrs. Geo. Hacker, Charles
Norwalk and son EmTl, Helen
Herach, Mr. and Mrs. Henry .Bankey,
two daughters and son Geo. Bankey,

Mrs. Jared Baker, died Sunday, at
her home in Clay Center and was
buried in the Clay Center cemetery,
Wednesday afternoon. Mr, and Mrs.
Baker were for years residents of
Rocky Ridge, Those attending the
funeral from this place were: Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Banky and George,
Mr. Norwalk and Amiel, Mrs. Jake
Dibert, Mrs. Geo. Hacker and Miss
