The funeral of Mrs. Ellen Bowlan
was held in the Christian-church Tuei
day afternoon. Rev. Hostetter preache
the funeral discourse. Mrs. Bowlanir
died last Sunday morning at the Toledo
State Hospital, where she was taken for
; mental treatment. Her remains were
brought to this place Monday evening
and taken to the home of her nephew,
, Ed. Whitmore. Her death is a sad one
j in all its connections, she having become
unbalanced through a nervous exeite-
! ment. She leaves beside her husband
[ and children, numerous relatives living
j near this place, as this was her early
I home. She was buried in Union ceme-
I tery. Mrs. Bowland was known to be a
lovely woman, with a gentle, sensative
nature, a fond mother and faithful wife.
Her maiden name was Ingraham. She
was 49 years old. She leaves a large
circle of friends and acquaintances to
mourn her untimely death. A large
nurnber of friends and relatives of the
deceased attended the funeral. ,
