Interment Union Cemetery
L,ast rite^s were held Wednes¬
day afternoon id Toledo for* Rob¬
ert Beattie. 37, husband of Mrs.
Amy" Damscbroder Beattie, for¬
merly of this place. Services were
held at 2 o'clock in the Ira Gar¬
ner f'uneral Home. The Rev.
V. G. Hostetter of Elmore, .who
married the young Couple, offici¬
ated at the funeral rites, assisted
by Rev. Grant Speer, pastor of
the deceased at Central Christian
church, in Toledo. Interment
was made in Union cemetery. El¬
more. The mother, Mrs. Sarah
Beattie of New Straitsville. O.,
together with his four brothers,
three sisters and the widow, sur¬

Mr. Beattie, who had been in
ill health for some time, suffering
from complications, died in St.
Vincent's hospital early Monday.
Although of Scotch ancestry, he
bad spent most of his life in To¬
ledo, where he was long employed
by the Willys Overland Co. He
was married to Miss Damscbrod¬
er of this place in 1929 and al¬
though their married life bad
been.spent in Toledo, they were���frequent visitors here and he was
well known to many in Elmore.
