Mr. Sam Burdotto, a resident of this
place, while returning homo from Booth,
late last Saturday night, met a horrible
death on tho W. & L. E. liy. a mile and
a half west of town, As he was alone
"'0 one- knows how the accident occurred.
The body, which was horribly mangled,
was discovered about 5 o'clock Sunday
morning' by Chas. Cole, while on his
way to Toledo. The coroner and under¬
taker were at once summoned, but
identification was possible only by the
fragments of clothing that remained.
Tho funeral, which occurred Tuesday,
was largely attended. The remains
wTere interred in tho Catholic cemetery
at Momineetown. Tho deceased leaves
a wife and six children besides numer¬
ous other relatives and friends to mourn
his loss.
—Samuel Hurdette, a resident of Cur¬
tice, this county, was killed by a Wheel¬
ing train, near Booth, Lucas county,
Saturday evening. Three freight trains
passed over bis body during the night,
and bis head and an arm were missing
when the body was found. lie leaves
a wife and six small children.
