I Laura Bauch
Passes Away
Miss Laura Bauch, daughter of
the late Rev. and Mrs. Julian
Bauch, formerly of St. John's
Lutheran Crurch, Oak Harbor,
passed away Nov. 23, in Santa
Barbara, Calif., after a long ill¬
ness.
A graduate Of Salem-Oak Har¬
bor schools, Miss Bauch taught
school here several years. Later
she became a registered nurse and
at one time served as superintend¬
ent of Sparrow hospital in Lans¬
ing, Michigan.
After retiring, Miss Bauch spent
her winters in Santa Barbara with
a Sister, Mrs. Magda Beier, and
her summers at her cottage in
Northern Michigan.
Surviving are three sisters:
Mrs. Magda Beier, Santa Barbara;
Mrs. Christian Hemnannj Lansing
and Mrs. A. L. J^urnran, Toledo.
j Among the local relatives are Mrs.
Carl Bauch, a sister-in-law and
I Mrs. Ray Zorn, a niece.
! Graveside services were held
■ Wednesday forenoon in Union
Cemetery, Robinson's morticians
directing and Rev. G. F. Shoup
officiating.
