MAUWCE BECK KILLED
IN HORRIBLE ACCIDENT
Maurice Beck. 18, onlv son of
Mr. and Mrs F. M. Beck of Fast
Hpe street, was instantly killed
about 6:30 Wednesday evening
when he fell under the engine of
the freight train on the North¬
western electric, near Violet stop
in Danbury The news c.unc as

-How the accident happened can
never be definitely known as no
one really saw him fall. But it
■ was apparent that, as he had
been riding on the running board
of the engine, he slipped and fell
under the heavy car, which was
stopped suddenly. The body was
so tiffhtly wedged under the en¬
gine that it had to be pried Hp be¬
fore th- body could be removed.
The head and upper part of the
body were quite badly crushed
and death is believed to have
jbeen instaueous.
