Mrs. Mary Becherer, SO, aged resi-
\ dent of this piace passed away in the
home of her daughter, Mrs, George
Ivofkar, Catawba Island, Saturday,
Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon
in Mrs. Becherer's home at 615 East
Third street, with final services in the
St. John's Lutheran Church. Rev. W.
A. Siefkes, pastor, conducted the ser¬
vice. Interment was made in Lake-
view cemetery.
Mrs. Becherer was born in Friesland
Germany, December 13, 1850. She was
a daughter of Felkert and Anna Job an
,sen. When twenty-one years old she
came to America settling in Port Clin¬

She was united in marriage with
Frank Klein dienst. Two daughters
were born to this union. The husband
and father died in 1880. The widow
then took as her husband, Albert
Becherer, who passed away on July 23
1921. Following his death Mrs. Bech¬
erer resided in the home on East Third
street, until about six years ago, since
which time she lived with her daugh¬
ters. Mrs. Becherer suffered from
diabetes many years. Her last illness
was of but one week's duration.
Surviving are the two daughters,
Mrs. George Rofkar, Catawba Island;
Mrs. Charles Rudolph, Toledo, ten
grandchildren and eleven great-grand¬
children.
