Funeral For Mrs.
Block Saturday
Coroner K. R. Semon today re
turned a verdict of suicide by
hanging in the death of Mrs.
Leona Block, 57, of Danbury-twp,
whose body was found at noori
yesterday by her husband, Clar¬
ence, in an upstairs bedroom.
The Blocks had observed their
30th wedding anniversary only the
previous day. Mrs. Block had been
in depr&ssed spirits due to ill
health, and had recently been a
patient at University Hospital.
Mrs. Block told The News Tues¬
day, when a reporter phoned to
inquire if there were any special
anniversary plans, that there
"wouldn't be any celebration this

■She was believed to have been
dead several hours when her hus¬
band found her as he returned
home at noon. A rope used as a
clothesline had been fastened to
a hook on the wall, and she bad
stepped trora a chair. A teakettle
she had put on to boil was dry
on the stove downstairs.
The former Leona Puestow, she
was born i'n Salem-twp, Dec. 19,
1898, the daughter of Charles and
Sophia Borck. Puestow, She is
survived by her husband, Clarence,
a township employee; a niece,
Betty, wiha lived with them; a
brother, Edwin Puestow of Oak
Harbor; three sisters. Mrs Glen
! Turner, Mrs. Arthur Lacumsky and
' Mrs. Clarence Bandelean, all ot
rural Port Clinton, and nieces and
nephews.

Eberle - LeVeck mortuary where
friends may call starting at 7 to¬
night. Funeral services will be held
Saturday at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's
Lutheran church at Danbury, the
Rev. George Reinke officiating.
Burial will be made in the church
cemetery.
