Mrs. Catherine Bell Dies

ternoon, April 16, for Mrs. Catb-
I erine Bell,76, of this place, who
' died Thursday aig-fat after several
weeks' illness following a stroke.
Services were held first in the
residence, then at Trinity M. E.
church, with Rev. G. C. Dibert
officiating and Sabroske and My¬
ers, funeral directors, in charge.
j Interment was in Union cemetery
I Catherine Elizabeth Bell, daugh¬
ter of Aaron and Mary Bjarket
Sams, was born near Elmore on
May 14, 1862, and most of her life
was spent in this vicinity. She
was thrice married; on June 22,!
1884, to John B. £wajt, who died ;
September 1, 1902, leaving her i
with one child, Beulafa: lat¬
er, to William Luckey. who died |
in 1923; and on April 24, 1927, to |
James Bell, who also preceded |
her in death. Mrs, Bell was a I
member of the Woman's Relief!
Corps, having been transferred!
from the Corps at Sandusky to \
the Elmore Corps 16 years ago;;
and the Corps, at her expressed1
wish, gave their funeral ritual at |
the church service.
She was also affiliated with the \
Euuecia Stevens club, a social or- i
ganization within the Elmore Re-j
lief Corps, and was a member of j
the Worn an s Foreign Missionary!
and Ladies Aid societies of Trin-!
ity M. E, church, to which she'
was ever loyal.
The deceased is survived by I
heronly child, Mrs. Beulah Ewalt j
j Fought, of Lvindsey; four grand-}

j children; also four brothers and
jone sister, together with other
jrelatives and many friends.
